COURSES RUN AT RSS BLANDFORD

Cadet Signallers will have covered the basic cadet signalling syllabus incorporating the practical and theoretical aspects of PRC349, voice procedure and line. They will have passed the signal classification test and are therefore entitled to wear the Crossed Flags Badge of a regimental signaller.
Award of this qualification is to be by a Royal Signals Advisor Unit or the Cadet Forces National Signals Advisor.
A Cadet Signaller should be able to:
- Establish and maintain communications using field cable and telephones.
- Establish, maintain and control communications on a VHF radio net.
- Send and receive orders, reports and messages accurately and securely using correct military voice procedure.
- Know and understand the need for Communication Security (COMSEC).
