Cut the cores to the lengths shown below noting the different lengths between the natural and black cores at each end. (Top cable is 90mm White, 70mm Black, 50mm White and 30mm Black. Bottom cable is 90mm Black, 70mm White, 50mm Black and 30mm White.)

Place the Crimp field joint (Jelly Crimp) onto the corresponding cores as shown, by pushing the insulated cores into the crimp as far as possible. Squeeze the red button on the crimp with a pair of pliers until it clicks into the field body. Check that the joint has been correctly crimped.

The finished joint is to be tightly bound with 1" self-amalgamating tape with an overlap of approximately 40mm on either side of the joint. This should then be overlaid with black electrical insulation tape to provide climatic protection.

WARNING: IRRITANT HAZARD. PROTECTIVE GLOVES MUST BE WORN WHEN USING THE GREASE FILLED CRIMP (JELLY CRIMP) AS THE SEALANT MAY CAUSE SKIN IRRITATION. IF IT COMES INTO CONTACT WITH THE EYES, FLUSH THE EYE WITH CLEAN WATER AND SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.
